Anatomy is the foundation of medicine. Rapid development in diagnostic imaging such as ultrasound, CT and MRI necessitates early and thorough training of veterinary medical students, who are now required in their preclinical studies to familiarise themselves not only with radiographs but also with sectional imaging. Many veterinarians in practice also need to update their knowledge which had been based on classical training in systematic and topographical anatomy.
The Third Edition of this textbook has been completely revised, with a new chapter on topographical-clinical anatomy, plus an updated introductory chapter including new sections on the history of veterinary anatomy and general anatomy.
