Botanik

Ulrich Lüttge lehrte bis zum Jahr 2004 als Ordinarius am Institut für Botanik der Technischen Universität Darmstadt. Er ist ein erfahrener Didaktiker und betreut das Werk gemeinsam mit Manfred Kluge seit über 20 Jahren. Das Autorenteam versteht es stets auf´s Neue, aktuelle Themen und gesichertes Basiswissen spannend miteinander zu verknüpfen. Ulrich Lüttge beschäftigt sich u.a. mit Membranphysiologie und -biochemie, circadianer Rhythmik von Photosyntheseprozessen sowie dem antioxidativen Verteidigungssystem der Pflanze. Manfred Kluge lehrte bis zum Jahr 2003 am Institut für Botanik der Technischen Universität Darmstadt. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind die biochemischen und biophysikalischen Grundlagen der Anpassung von Pflanzen an ökologischen Streß, wobei Anpassungen an Wasser- und mineralischen Nährstoffmangel, erhöhte Temperatur sowie Salzbelastung im Vordergrund stehen.
