Written in note form, this book considers clinical signs of disease, disease treatment and prevention of disease in guinea pigs (cavies). Chapters discuss the reproductive, digestive, respiratory, musculoskeletal and urinary systems, the skin, head and neck, nervous system and husbandry. A single chapter devoted to treatment lists all the treatments discussed in earlier chapters, describing dose-rates, method of administration and contra-indications. An appendix provides physiological data. The book is aimed at veterinarians and students and should be accessible to breeders.
