Now in its fifth year, this highly successful event on vehicle electronics was organised by ERA Technology Ltd in association with the IEE and ImechE. Taking a practical, realistic approach this conference had a strong focus on themes including telematics, communication technologies and multimedia applications. It showcased recent developments in vehicle electronic systems whilst addressing their impact on the automotive industry and the customer. Presentations were given by key organisations within the automotive industry such as Visteon, TRW Conekt, Praxis Critical Systems, Siemens VDO Automotive, Landrover and Human Engineering Ltd. They highlighted new and emerging technologies in telematics, vehicle comfort and safety and will focus on practical aspects of implementing technology. The demands of the 21st century customer have accelerated the evolution of new technologies in vehicle electronic systems, beyond all expectations. In order to keep up with the rapidly changing technological advances in the automotive industry, companies recognise that investing their resources in telematics, the human machine interface, communication technologies and safety aspects, is crucial.
