Professor Avetissian has over 30 years of experience in the area of Nonlinear Electrodynamics of charged particles and strong laser fields. He is the author of the new nonlinear threshold phenomena in coherent radiation processes, which are potential mechanisms for Laser Accelerators and Free Electron Lasers, and has published more than 100 articles in the most prestigious international scientific journals. For his significant achievements he was awarded several National awards and the President of the Republic Prize for Outstanding Contribution to the Advancement of the Science.
