Wind Energy Operation and Control: Issues, Solutions, and Future Developments provides deep insights into the critical issues of wind power generation and the integration of wind energy in electricity grids, offering an interdisciplinary approach that enables readers to overcome current barriers and to understand future opportunities. As part of the Elsevier Wind Energy Engineering Series, this book is a valuable resource for researchers, academics, and advanced students with an interest in wind energy, operation and control, grid integration, power systems, and renewable energy, as well as practitioners, industry personnel, and policy makers working in the wind energy sector.

Dr. Baseem Khan received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, Bhopal, India, in 2008, and M.Tech. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, in 2010 and 2014, respectively. He is currently a Faculty Member at Hawassa University, Ethiopia, and Senior Member of the IEEE. He has published more than 125 research articles in indexed journals, and has authored and edited several books with international publishers. Dr. Khan’s research interests include power system restructuring, power system planning, smart grid technologies, meta-heuristic optimization techniques, reliability analysis of renewable energy systems, power quality analysis, and renewable energy integration. Dr. Salah Kamel received his Ph.D. from the University of Jaén, Spain (Main), and Aalborg University, Denmark (Host), in January 2014. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Aswan University, Egypt, where he is also a Leader of the Advanced Power Systems Research Laboratory (APSR Laboratory), Power Systems Research Group. His research areas include power system analysis and optimization, smart grid, and renewable energy systems. Francisco Jurado has been a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Jaén, Spain, since 1985. His current research interests include power systems, modeling, and renewable energy. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
