This book comprises select proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Innovative Computing which was held in Taichung City, Taiwan, Jan 23-26, 2024 (IC 2024) focusing on cutting-edge research carried out in the areas of information technology, science, and engineering. Some of the themes covered in this book are cloud communications and networking, high performance computing, architecture for secure and interactive IoT, satellite communication, wearable network and system, infrastructure management, etc. The essays are written by leading international experts, making it a valuable resource for researchers and practicing engineers alike.



Dr. Yan Pei was born in Shenyang, China. He obtained Doctor of Engineering at Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan. He received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China. He was a software engineer and software projector manager in Chinese and German IT industries for several years before entering academic society. He is currently working at the University of Aizu as an Associate Professor. His research interests include Evolutionary Computation, Machine Learning, and Software Engineering. He serves as chairs and organization committee members in many international conferences sponsored by IEEE, ACM, and other international associations. He is also serving as editors in many international journals. He is a member of IEEE SMC, IEEE CIS and Japanese society for evolutionary computation.


Dr. Hao-Shang Ma received the PhD degree from Institute of Computer and Communication Engineering, National Cheng Kung University in July 2022. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Taichung University of Science and Technology. Since January 2021, he is the Young Professionals Secretary of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) - Taipei Network. Since April 2023, he is a guest editor of Special Issue of Sensors Journal. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Social Network Analysis, Recommender Systems, and Nature Language Processing.


Dr. Yu-Wei Chan received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in information engineering from Tamkang University, Taiwan, in 1997 and 2001, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2013. He joined as an Associate Professor with the department of Computer Science and Information Management, Providence University (PU), Taiwan, in February 2016. Currently, he serves as the dean of the department of ComputerScience and Information Management, Providence University (PU). His current research interests include cloud computing, edge computing, deep learning applications, and game theoretic wireless networking.


Dr. Hwa Young Jeong received the MS degree of computer engineering in 1994 and the Ph.D of computer engineering in 2004 from Kyung Hee University, Korea. Currently, he is an assoiate professor in Humanitas College at Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea. He is a member of the Standard Words Committee in Ministry of Information and Communication, Republic of Korea. And he has worked on the editorial board for the journal of Korea Society for Internet Information from 2004. From 1994 to 1999, he worked for Aju System Co., and CNA Research Inc., as a system and software engineer, and he had made GUI(Graphical User Interface) programs to control the semiconductor testing machine which was called IC Test Handler. He was an assistant professor, Dept of E-Business of Yewon Art University in 2000-2005. He has served for many international conferences/workshops as an International Program Committee Chair from 2012 to now. His research area includes design of system software, multimedia system and software, software and application with security, e/u-learning system and so on.
