Sustainable Nanomaterials provides core and advanced information about various sustainable nanomaterials and their synthetic approaches to natural and renewable resources. It summarizes various regulatory initiatives for ensuring sustainability goals and legal aspects of sustainable nanomaterials. This book also addresses potential nanomaterial risks and concludes that green nanotechnology is a concept that needs to be embedded and promoted in regulatory and voluntary initiatives to ensure nanotechnology’s sustainable development. This is a useful resource for advanced students, as well as environmental engineers, researchers, and the environmental industry.

Manviri Rani is an expert in analytical method developments for various persistent organic pollutants. Her areas of research are analytical chemistry, environmental and green chemistry, persistent organic pollutants, plastic polymers and associated chemicals, chromatographic analysis, pesticide and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon analysis, solvent extraction, environment & health, and nanochemistry. Uma Shanker’s research focuses on green and sustainable synthesis of various types of nanomaterials and explores their applications in environmental remediation. The main areas of research of Dr Shanker and his group are Environmental Nanotechnology, Photocatalysis, Green Chemistry, and Environmental Analytical Chemistry. Dr Shanker has published more than 60 research/review articles in the area of green nanomaterials and their environmental applications. The Editors have successfully edited four books of international repute. Out of four books, two are for Elsevier, one for CRC press and one for Springer. Dr Shanker has also published 37 book chapters. Dr Shanker has more than 2600 citations with h-index 29 and i-10 index 48 (as per google scholar). Dr Shanker has more than ten years of experience of research and teaching.
