Control of Nonlinear Systems–Stability and Performance provides a comprehensive but accessible treatment of the subject with just the right amount of mathematical rigor to be complete but practical. The purpose of this book is to alleviate some of the confusion and difficulty in understanding the design and analysis of a wide class of control methods for nonlinear systems. This book is the outcome of several years of research, whose main purpose is not to generate new results, but rather to unify, simplify, and present in a tutorial manner most of the existing techniques for designing and analyzing control systems.
Diverse applications from control theory to engineering make the fundamentals of control of nonlinear systems – stability and performance - an indispensable part of an engineer's education.
Yongduan Song received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, TN, USA, in 1992.
