Mackintosh follows the rise and fall of one of Britain's most fascinating and original artists and designers of the twentieth century. Covering everything from his early architecture, furniture and decorative arts to his late watercolours, this stunning book provides the reader with a wealth of information on the life and work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
Anne Ellis is an architectural historian. For 12 years she was the curator at the Hill House, Helensburgh, designed by Mackintosh, and describes her time there as ‘absolute heaven – like living inside a work of art!’ More recently an interest in broadcasting has developed into a regular slot presenting The Arts show for Radio Scotland. Tamsin Pickeral has studied Art and History of Art since she was child, and lived for some time in Italy furthering her appreciation of the subject. She has travelled extensively through her life, and has recently returned to the UK after nine years spent living an unusual life on a cattle ranch in the US. She now resides in Norfolk, with her cowboy, where she continues to write about art and horses, two of her favourite topics.
