Yasuhiko Arakawa is a Specially Appointed Professor of the Institute for Nano Quantum Electronics at The University of Tokyo, a Professor Emeritus at The University of Tokyo, a Program Director of the MEXT Q-LEAP, and the Supervisor of CREST Quantum Technology. He is a Foreign Member of the US National Academy of Engineering and the Past President of International Commission for Optics (ICO). Dieter Bimberg is the Director of the Bimberg Chinese–German Center for Green Photonics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences at CIOMP, Changchun and Founding Director of the Center of NanoPhotonics at TU Berlin. He is a Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, a Foreign Member of the National Academy of Engineering of USA, and a Fellow of the US National Academy of Inventors.
