Qing Xie is currently a professor at North China Electric Power University, China. He is mainly engaged in the design and development of electrical insulation materials, electrical equipment insulation mechanism, electrical equipment online monitoring and fault diagnosis, electrical equipment maintenance, and other electrical materials-related research. He obtained his Ph.D. in high voltage and insulation technology from North China Electric Power University in 2010, which was followed by postdoctoral research at Chongqing University, China, and Baoding Tianwei Group in 2011 and 2012. He worked as a visiting scholar at Pennsylvania State University, the USA, in 2017 and 2018. Since 2002, he has carried out teaching and research in the Department of Electric Power Engineering of North China Electric Power University.
