These cover a wide range of applications in portable devices, bio-medical services, agriculture needs, mechanical systems, sensor networks, automobiles, food sector, home appliances, industry needs, etc. The authors detail energy harvesting methods using the latest technologies in acoustics, bio-chemical, thermal, artificial light, fluid flow, vibrations, EM energy, RF energy, piezoelectric, electrostatic, photovoltaic, thermoelectric, hybrid harvesting, ultrasonic, infrared, light, wind, and solar. The book is intended for researchers, academics, professionals, and students in energy harvesting.



Dr. N. Anveshkumar pursued his M.Tech in 2014 and Ph.D degrees in 2019 from ECE, VNIT, Nagpur, India and has 3 years of Teaching and Research experience. He has published his research and review papers in 19 International/National Journals, 13 International/National conferences. Currently, he is working as an assistant professor in ECE, VIT Bhopal University, Bhopal, MP, India. He was one of the Editors for a text book on 'Advances in THz technology and its applications' published by Springer in 2021, ISBN 978-981-16-5731-3. His research interests include Antennas, RF circuits and wireless communications. Currently, he is working in the area of high directional UWB antennas, energy harvesting, reconfigurable antennas, cognitive radio antennas, THz and Mobile antennas.

Dr. Anirban Bhowmick completed his Ph.D in 2018 from Birla Institute of Mesra, Ranchi in the field of speech processing. He worked as a postdoc fellow in IISc Bangalore for 1 and half years. He has published more than 20 papers in international journals. He has almost 7 years of teaching experience and his research interest is in the field of signal and image processing, communication and related fields.

Dr. Chandan Kumar is a Doctorate from the School of Biomedical Engg. IIT(BHU), Varanasi. He completed his M.Tech from NIT-Rourkela and B.Tech from ITM University in Electronics & Instrumentation. He has over two years of teaching experience at university level. He has publications in renowned International journals published by Wiley, Elsevier, ACS and RSC with three patents filed till date. His primary area of specialization is 'Energy harvesting achieved through material synthesis and signal conditioning involving effective electronics circuitry to achieve effective electromechanical coupling'. His research interests include Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting, MEMS and flexible electronics.

Dr. R. Maheswar has completed his B.E (ECE) from Madras University in the year 1999, M.E (Applied Electronics) from Bharathiyar University in the year 2002 and Ph.D in the field of Wireless Sensor Network from Anna University in the year 2012. He has about 21 years of teaching experience at various levels and presently holding the responsibility as Director In-Charge in the Centre for Research and Development, Head - Centre for IoT and AI (CITI) as well as Professor in the Department of ECE, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, India. Prior to KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, he was associated as Dean In-Charge - Research and Dean - School of EEE at VIT Bhopal University for 3 years. His research interest includes Wireless Sensor Network, IoT, Queueing theory and Performance Evaluation. He has also been recognized as a visiting researcher at University of Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. He has involved as a project investigator in the India-Iran Inter-Governmental Programme of Cooperation in Science and Technology, a bilateral project sponsored by DST and received grants around 20 Lakhs from various Government funding agencies. He has produced 6 Ph.D scholars and presently supervising 2 Ph.D scholars. He has published around 84 papers at International Journals and Conferences and also published 4 patents in the field of Sensors & IoT. He is presently an Associate Editor in Alexandria Engineering Journal (Q1), Elsevier, Wireless Networks Journal (Q2), Springer, IET Electronics Letters (Q3) and Ad-hoc Sensor Wireless Networks Journal (Q4), Old City Publishing. He has served as guest editor for Wireless Networks Journal - Springer, WCMC - Hindawi, IJAHUC - Inderscience, MDPI - Energies and completed 4 special issues as Lead Guest Editor. He has also been serving as a review board member for peer reviewed journals. He has authored a book titled, 'Received Signal Strength Based Target Localization and Tracking Using Wireless Sensor Networks', EAI/Springer Innovations in Communications and Computing (ESICC), a scopus indexed Springer book series and also edited 7 books supported by ESICC Springer book series and Wiley. He has acted as an Advisory Committee and Review Committee Member for various International Conferences including ICAN 2022 / SIET 2022 / ICICES 2021 / ICAN 2021 / ICAN 2020 / ICIEEE 2019. He has delivered numerous expert talks on 'Wireless Sensor Networks' and various research talks on 'Networking and Collaborative Research' at reputed institutions. He has received the 'Best Faculty Award' consecutively for two years from Sri Krishna College of Technology, Coimbatore and also a lifetime member of ISTE.
