Moreover, methodology (experimental and modeling) of nucleation and growth of metals and other materials from aqueous and nonaqueous solvents using electrochemical means are reviewed. Although nucleation and growth are well-studied processes in materials, the quantification of the number of nuclei during these processes are complicated. A key aim of the book is to systematize information and share knowledge about the nucleation and growth phenomena occurring in different engineering processes related to materials science and engineering.
Manuel Eduardo Palomar-Pardavé is a tenured professor in basic and applied electrochemistry of materials at UAM-Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. His research interests include fundamental and applied electrochemistry, electrosynthesis and materials characterization processes, electrodeposition, electrocrystallization of metals, conducting polymers, anodic films, nanomaterials, physicochemistry of solutions, and evaluation and protection against corrosion. Tu Le Manh is a professor and senior researcher at the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, Phenikaa University, Hanoi, Vietnam. His research is on crystallographic texture (X-ray macrotexture and EBSD microtexture), Barkhausen noise measurements, magnetic and mechanical anisotropy of polycrystalline materials, electronucleation and growth of metals from deep eutectic solvents, electrocatalysts for fuel cells, and lithium-ion battery recycling.
