Nicola Di Stefano graduated in Philosophy from the University of Milan and in double bass from “G. Verdi” Conservatory of Milan. He then obtained his PhD from Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome with a thesis on musical consonance and dissonance. He has been post-doc researcher at FAST (Institute of Philosophy of Scientifc and Technological Practice), Campus Bio-Medico of Rome, before obtaining a two-year research fellowship at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Currently, he works as researcher at the National Research Council of Italy. His research activity focuses on aesthetics and neuroaesthetics. He authored a book on music perception and theory and many articles in international scientifc journals, such as Frontiers in Psychology, Psychology of Music, Journal of Interdisciplinary Music Studies, Systems, Rivista di Estetica, and Studi di Estetica. He also authored chapters and co-edited volumes for international publishers, such as Springer and McGraw-Hill. He is adjunct professor at Roma Tre University and at the University of Arkansas Rome Center. He is member of the editorial board of Sensibilia Colloquium on Perception and Experience of the International Lexicon of Aesthetics and of De Musica. He is member of the Society for Music Perception and Cognition (SMPC) of the European Society for the Cognitive Sciences of Music (ESCOM) and the Società Italiana d’Estetica (SIE) Maria Teresa Russo, PhD in Philosophy and Human Sciences Theory, is Professor of Moral Philosophy and Bioethics at Roma Tre University. She is Editor in chief of the peer-review journal MEDIC. Methodology & Education for Clinical Innovation. She was visiting professor at the University “Jean Jaurès” of Toulouse, University of Santiago de Compostela, Pontifical University of Santiago de Chile. Member of the scientific board of Italian and International journals: Per la Filosofia, Critical Hermeneutics and Aurora. Papeles del Seminario María Zambrano. Her main research focuses on ethical issues of healthcare and embodiment; on contemporary Spanish and French philosophy.
