Power Electronics Converters and their Control for Renewable Energy Applications provides information that helps to solve common challenges with power electronics converters, including loss by switching, heating of power switches, management of switching time, improvement of the quality of the signals delivered by power converters, and improvement of the quality of energy produced by renewable energy sources.

This book is of interest to academics, researchers, and engineers in renewable energy, power systems, electrical engineering, electronics, and mechanical engineering.

Arezki FEKIK is a senior lecturer at Akli Mohand Oulhadj University-Bouira, Algeria. He is a member of the International Group of System Control (IGCS), a member of the Springer conference committee and a member of the IEEE SMARTTECH conference. His current research interests include power electronics and its applications such as wind turbines, photovoltaic systems, reliability, harmonics, microgrids and variable speed drives. He has published more than 55 journal and conference articles and book chapters in the fields of power electronics and its applications. Prof. Malek GHANES received the M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. in applied automatic and informatics both from IRCCyN (now LS2N), Centrale Nantes (CN), France. He is a Full Professor at CN, LS2N, France and the director of the Chair on Electric Vehicles performances between Renault and CN. His research interests include observation and control of nonlinear systems, with applications mainly to electric systems. Prof. Ghanes was recipient of the Best Paper Award from the Journal of Control Engineering Practice (CEP) and the Applied Research Award from the Federation of Electronic, Electrical and Communications Industries FIEEC.?He served as Associate Editor for the IFAC CEP journal and his now an associate editor of Energies and World Electric Vehicle journals. He has published several journal articles, conference papers and patents. H. Denoun received his Bsc degree in electrical engineering from the Mouloud Mammeri University, Algeria, and the D.E.A degree from Paris 6, France and the Magister degree from Polytechnic School, Algiers, Algeria. He received his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Mouloud Mammeri University, and is currently a Professor at the same university. His research interests include electrical machines and drives, power electronics and control systems.
