Dr. Ned Xoubi is Professor of Nuclear Engineering and Reactor Design at King Abdulaziz University (KAU). Dr. Xoubi is the Founder of ?Jordan’s first Nuclear Engineering Department at JUST University. His research interests ?include nuclear power plant design, nuclear fuel management, criticality calculations, and ?modeling & simulation of nuclear reactors. He has published numerous peer reviewed journal articles, and several DOE Oak Ridge National Laboratory Reports, and made innumerable presentations at international conferences, the IAEA and universities worldwide. Dr. Xoubi has more than 35 years of industrial, governmental, and academic experience. He served ?as the Commissioner for nuclear fuel cycle, the Director General of JERI Uranium Company, and was on the Board of Directors of the Areva Jordan Resources Company. He was the Project Director of the JRTR research reactor, and has successfully established and managed several ?of nuclear projects including the JSA Subcritical ?Assembly, a Central ?Storage Facility (CSF) for sophisticated ?storage of radioactive waste and JAEC ?Uranium Analytical Measurement ?Laboratories.
