Biomechanical Modelling and Simulation on Musculoskeletal System (eBook)
IX, 389 Seiten
Springer Singapore (Verlag)
978-981-16-3911-1 (ISBN)
The book involves the basic principles, methods, anatomy and other knowledge for modelling and simulation of the musculoskeletal system. In addition, abundant examples are presented in detail to help readers easily learn the principles and methods of modelling and simulation. These examples include the impact injury and clinical application of the modelling of bone and muscle. In terms of impact injury, the book introduces the biomechanical simulation of impact injury in head, spine, ankle, knee, eyeball and many other parts. With regard to clinical application, it explores the optimization of orthopaedic surgery and design of orthopaedic implants. Readers will find this is a highly informative and carefully presented book, introducing not only the biomechanical principles in the musculoskeletal system, but also the application abilities of modelling and simulation on the musculoskeletal system.
Dr. Yubo Fan is the chairman of the 7th and 8th sessions of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, Dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering and School of Engineering Medicine at Beihang University. He graduated from the Department of Mechanics of Peking University with a bachelor's degree in 1987 and a doctor's degree in Chengdu University of Science and Technology in 1992. From 1999 to 2006, he visited Hong Kong Polytechnic University seven times, and in 2003, 04 and 05, he visited Canada, Japan and other countries for cooperative research. He is mainly engaged in the research of biomedical engineering, biomechanics, tissue engineering, aerospace biomedical engineering and rehabilitation engineering, fields in which he has published more than 300 SCI articles.
Dr. Lizhen Wang is a professor and doctoral supervisor of School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering at Beihang University. She obtained her doctoral degree from Beihang University in 2012, and was a visiting Professor at Georgia Tech and Emory University, University of Michigan from 2016 to 2018. She is mainly engaged in the research of biomechanics, design and testing of medical implants and aerospace medical engineering, fields in which she has published more than 80 SCI articles.
