Dr. Anand Narayan Singh, Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry, GSVM Medical College, Kanpur U.P.INDIA . He completed M.Sc. from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi U.P.. He pursued PhD degree from King George Medical University Lucknow U.P.. During PhD, he also worked on an Indian Council Medical Research(ICMR) project and he had gained experience of various advance and specialized biomarkers of prostate cancer named VEGF and PSA etc. He started his carrier as Lecturer in MLN Medical College, Prayagraj. Later, he joined Department of Biochemistry in GSVM Medical College, Kanpur. He has immense teaching experience over the period of 15 years. In addition to teaching, Dr. Singh also remains immersed in research work: He has several research publications in reputed national and international journals. He has been Principal Investigator in multiple research projects relevant to pesticides and human health; Vitamin D, Oxidative stress and Antioxidant status in Ischemic Stroke Patients. Recently, some projects are also got sanctioned relevant to the biomarkers of breast cancer and Gall bladder cancer from Department of Health Research, Govt of India . Besides these projects, a Text Book of Biochemistry for MBBS Students is also published in the year 2021. Dr Seema Nayak has been a Scientist of Molecular Biology and Immunology at Medanta Hospital, Lucknow since 2019. She received the women scientist fellowship from ICMR HRD-DHR in 2015. She also worked as a Research Officer in the Department of Pathology at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow. She has vast experience in oncology research, biomarkers, advanced Genetics, epigenetics, and molecular and biochemical techniques. Her PhD work was focused on biomarker research in oncology. Her post-doctoral work was on Genomics in Cancer Biomarkers. She has contributed high impact publications in PLOsOne, Oral Oncology journals and in cancer biomarkers and oncology. She is a member of several national and international academic organizations and a reviewer in various international peer reviewed journals. She has been actively involved in cancer diagnostics since 2007. She was the pioneer in starting Cancer biomarker diagnostics based on Immunohistochemistry in India. Dr. Rashmi Rana has received her PhD in Biochemistry from National Institute of Pathology, ICMR affiliated to GGSIP University, where she developed new mass spectrometry methods for analyzing phthalates in semen. She did her post-doc at All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Evaluation of antibiotic side effects. Currently she works as consultant in the department of Research at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. She received Young Scientist Award in Proteomics Conference held at Dubai, UAE. She was selected for Foundations of Clinical Research (FCR) 2022 run by Harvard University, USA. She is a Principal Investigator in four research projects related to dengue exosomal proteomics, role exosomes in glioma biology, theragnostic exosomes in glioma and transcriptomics analysis of pulmonary hypertension patients. Her main research interest is to quantitatively identify the protein signatures involved in human diseases including various cancers with state-of-the-art and highly sensitive mass spectrometry-based proteomic approaches. Presently she works on identification of protein-based biomarkers for early diagnosis / post-treatment surveillance and therapeutics of brain tumor (Glioma) and biliary tract cancer.
