This book presents the historical development of Cyclodextrins by scientists who have made outstanding contribution to the field. Cyclodextrins are safe, cage-like molecules that have found major applications in many industrial sectors such as medicine, food, agriculture, environment and chemistry.

Dr. Gregorio Crini is environmental polymerist at Universite Bourgogne Franche-Comte, Besancon, France. His research activities focus on the environmental aspects of cyclodextrin chemistry. Dr. Sophie Fourmentin is Professor at the Universite du Littoral Cote d'Opale, Dunkerque, France. She is President of the French Cyclodextrin Society. Her research works are at the interface between host-guest chemistry and environmental chemistry. Dr. Eric Lichtfouse, is biogeochemist, Chief Editor and Professor of Scientific Writing at Aix Marseille University, France. He has invented carbon-13 dating and published the book Scientific Writing for Impact Factor Journals.
