He received his Ph. D. from IIT Kharagpur followed by a post-doctoral study from Colorado State University, USA. He is a consultant of aquaculture to many related research and consultancy projects across the globe has and ~60 papers in Elsevier and other reputed journals. Dr. Mal is a well-known expert in his field has been awarded several awards, is an invited speaker and has 21 on-going sponsored research projects and 17 consultancy projects.
