This book showcases the art and science of clinical sociology from around the world. It is the first book to present basic clinical sociology diagrams and models in addition to detailed histories of clinical sociology in the United States, Quebec, France, and Japan.

This new edition presents an updated version of the art and science of clinical sociologists around the world. Presenting basic clinical sociology diagrams and models, as well as detailed histories of clinical sociology in various countries, it also discusses a wide range of interventions in light of a country's economic, social, political and disciplinary history. This book includes new chapters on South African clinical sociology, climate resilience in the Philippines, children's human rights, gender integration in the military and substance abuse intervention. This book will be of great interest to upper level undergraduate and graduate students in sociology as well as social science practitioners and academics.

Jan Marie Fritz, Ph.D., C.C.S., is a Professor at the University of Cincinnati and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg. She was a Distinguished Visiting Professor with the Honors College at the University of South Florida, Fulbright Senior Scholar with the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Human Rights and International Studies at the Danish Institute of Human Rights and Woodrow Wilson Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C. She has received a number of awards including the American Sociological Association's Distinguished Career Award for the Practice of Sociology, the Ohio Mediation Association's Better World Award and the Lester Ward Award from the Association for Applied and Clinical Sociology, She was a Vice-President of the International Sociological Association (ISA) and is an ISA representative to the UN. She is a member of the ISA Executive Committee, the Mayor of Cincinnati's Gender Equality Task Force and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's National Environmental Justice Advisory Council.
