BTSym is the brainchild of Prof. Dr. Yuzo Iano, who is responsible for the Laboratory of Visual Communications (LCV) at the Department of Communications (DECOM) of the Faculty of Electrical and Computing Engineering (FEEC), State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil.

- Prof. Yuzo Iano The Prof. Yuzo Iano holds a degree (1972), a master's degree (1974) and a doctorate (1986) in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). Since then, it has been active in a vast field of technological production, with 1 patent granted, 8 patent applications filed, 3 software registrations (in process) and 36 completed projects with research and development agencies. He has successfully supervised 5 postdoctoral projects, supervised 33 doctoral theses, 56 master's dissertations, 74 undergraduate monographs, 48 scientific initiation works and 198 other orientations (Teaching Internship Program, projects, etc). He participated in 102 masters examinations, 50 doctoral and 50 in qualifications (master's and doctorate), author/co-author of 2 books, 8 chapters of books and 300 papers published. Received two Innovation Awards from Inova Unicamp, "Licensed Technology" category (2013 and 2018), an Award for Teaching Excellence in Undergraduate Education, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (2012) and a "Life Member" honor received from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers - IEEE (2018). Currently he is MS6 in RDIDP of Department of Communications of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Unicamp, Editor in chief of the SET International Journal of Broadcast Engineering and President of the Brazilian Technology Symposium (BTSym). He has experience in the area of Electrical Engineering, with emphasis in Telecommunications, Electronics and Information Technology, working mainly in the field of audio-visual communications and data. The main topics of interest are: digital signal processing and transmission of images / video / audio / data, hdtv, digital tv, 3G / 4G / 5G networks, middleware, television signal transmission / digital signal encoding, data transmission / storage, sensors and small signals, preventive and predictive maintenance, magnetic materials analysis, wireless sensor networks, solar photovoltaic prediction systems and intelligent / digital cities. - Prof. Rangel Arthur He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University (1999), a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (2002) and a PhD in Electrical Engineering (2007) from University of Campinas. During the years 2011 to 2014 he was Coordinator and Associate Coordinator of the Technology Courses in Telecommunications Systems and Telecommunications Engineering at School of Technology, which was created in his management. From 2015 to 2016 he was Associate Director of Unicamp's School of Technology . He is currently an advisor to the Innovation Agency (Inova) at University of Campinas. He has experience in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on Telecommunications Systems, working mainly in the following topics: telecommunications, digital signal processing and control. He was and continues as executor and co-executor in several research projects with funding CAPES, National Network of Teaching and Research (RNP) and Fapesp. He is a representative at the Brazilian System of Technology Unit (Sibratec). He is member of the Council of the Association of Environments of Innovation of Limeira-SP. In extension, since 2014 He coordinates the course of Specialization in Mechatronics, also taught in FT. - Prof. Osamu Saotome Full Professor of the Electronic Engineering Division of the Technological Institute of Aeronautics.
