Text: Pedro Bandeira, Kersten Geers, Tibor Joanelly
Fala is an architecture practice founded in 2013 in Porto. Both hedonistic and restrained, the studio takes lightness and joy seriously. The founders’ projects can be characterised by a tendency towards an emerging independence of architectural language. The development of their individual style is linked to their typical commissions. Some projects come across like topical declinations of the same programme: separation of auxiliary functions from a main space, zoning of the plan, opening and staging the view onto a small courtyard.
