This work aims to present an approach that will make the solution of many practical system problems possible. It provides detailed analysis of three phase multimachine systems.
The approach to the detailed analysis of three phase multimachine systems presented here leads directly to its use in the solution of many practical system problems. Particular attention is given to the small capacity systems associated with industrial process, marine applications or small utility installations, which contain a mix of synchronous and asynchronous machines in combination with static components such as transformers. The modular formulation of individual models allows users to construct overall system models of configurations encountered in practice. A number of specific examples are given to illustrate the applicability of the methods shown. Many textbooks are available which deal exclusively with the theoretical and mathemathical aspect of the subject. This package reviews these techniques and takes advantage of the rapid advances in relatively inexpensive computing power provided by personal computers to give means of solving practical multimachine problems at the engineer's desk. This book should be of interest to practising engineers/consultants and academics in power engineering and industrial power systems.
