Unconventional Oil and Gas Resource Engineering provides managers and engineers with the foundation and framework necessary to understand unconventional activity and the challenges associated with drilling these more complex wells. It includes tactics on how to maximize resources to their fullest potential, updating engineers and senior decision-makers on how to make more accurate plans for extraction techniques and well design, understand the various types of unconventional resources, exploit sweet spots, amplify volume through appropriate well analysis tests and design strategies, and explain how conventional methods have changed.

Christine is currently Professor in petroleum engineering at the University of Houston, USA. She is a Member of the National Academy of Engineering, recipient of SPE's Anthony F. Lucas Gold Medal as well as the Distinguished Acheivement Award for Petroleum Engineering Faculty, Lester C. Uren, Innovative Teaching, and Formation Evaluation Awards. Member of the board on Energy and Environmental Systems (BEES), QRI Scholar, and Chief Scientist for the Sinopec Research Institute on Petroleum Engineering. She was previously a Professor in petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University and is globally recognized for expertise in reservoir engineering, pressure transient analysis, integrated reservoir characterization, complex well design, and production enhancement. She has a PhD from Stanford. Ibrahim Abou-Sayed is currently President and Owner of i-Stimulation Solutions, Inc. based in Sugar Land, TX USA. Previously, he was a Consultant at EXCO Resources, Inc. and an Advisor to ExxonMobil. He has a PhD in Engineering Mechanics from Brown University.
