Phycobiliproteins are water soluble, brilliantly colored accessory light-harvesting macromolecules organized in a supramolecular complexes on photosynthetic apparatus in cyanobacteria, red algae and cryptomonads. The objective of this book is to provide state of the art knowledge and highlight the recent developments and future biotechnological and biomedical applications of phycobiliproteins.
