Nabil Sayed Embabi has been a professor of Desert Geomorphology at the Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt since 1979. He obtained his Ph.D. from Bristol University, UK in 1967. Dr. Embabih has taught at several Arab universities: (King Abdel-Aziz University in Jeddah (1972), the Libyan University in Tripoli (1973), Qatar University in Doha (1979-1983), and the United Arab Emirates University in Al-Ain (1988-1992). During his research career spanning over 50 years, he participated in or led a number of expeditions and research projects in Egypt / the Arabian Desert. He has also been involved in scientific collaborations with professors at universities in the United States of America, Finland, and the United Kingdom.. He has authored and coauthored more than 50 papers in English and Arabic and attended and presented papers at several international conferences, such as those of the International Geographical Congress and the International Association of Geomorphologists. His research papers have been cited 73 times in published scientific work.
