The Institute of Petroleum standardized methods are constantly reviewed. "Standard Methods" is revised annually in line with all of these changes. New, proposed and modified standard methods covering the field of petroleum and its products are featured, in addition to information on new developments within the industry. This is a reference manual for chemists and engineers working in the petroleum industry and its associated fields. The 1999 edition contains new "full methods", new ISO standards, new European Standards, and many IP standards which have been newly accorded to the status of British Standard.
