This book provides guidance on how to build and design sustainable transportation systems, and includes in depth discussions on energy storage and converter and charger technologies. It considers the architecture and models for sustainable charging infrastructures and capacity planning of small scale fast charging stations and explains how plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) can provide service to the grid.

The book also covers optimal arrival and service rates, facility location problems, load balancing, and possible adoption of EV and demand forecasts. Time-saving MATLAB code and background tables are included to help power and transport engineers with projects in the field.
