His research at UTBM's Research Institute on Transportation, Energy and Society (IRTES) and FCLAB is in the field of smart electric power and energy systems, with a focus on microgrids. Timothy M. Hansen is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at South Dakota State University. His research interests include energy systems integration and management, resource allocation and optimisation in multiple disciplines, and high-performance computing.
