This book builds on the companion title, "Fundamental Electrical and Electronic Principles", assuming prior study to core unit level of Advanced VCE (GNVQ) / BTEC National. This book is an ideal text for a wide range of pre-degree courses including NVQs at levels 3 and 4. The second edition has been matched to the latest specifications for higher level option units within BTEC National (2001/2 draft specifications), and Advanced VCE (GNVQ) Engineering (Curriculum 2000) and includes two new chapters on Analysis of Small-signal Transistor Amplifiers and Operational Amplifiers.
