Keith Pethebridge has been an author of Electrical Wiring Practice since the first edition. Before retirement, he was Senior Head Teacher in Electrical Trades at the Sydney Technical College, now the Sydney Institute of TAFE. Keith also worked as a consultant for apprentice training nationally. Keith passed away in March 2010. Ian Neeson is a vocational education and training consultrant specialising in electrotechnology. He was involved in the development of the National Competency Standards for Electrotechnology and continues to provide assistance to the National ElectroComms and Energy Utilities Skills Council(EE-Oz Training Standards) in their program of continuous improvement. Ian also represents the National Skills Council on the Wiring Rules Advisory Panel(EL-001) and Hazardous Areas Competency Standards Committee(P-12). He is a member of an IECEx Certificate of Personal Competence Committee and Working Groups. For the past few years Ian has been a member of the judging team for the National Electrical and Communications Association(NECA)NSW Excellence Awards. Jim Jenneson has written the last five successful editions of Electrical Principles for the Electrical Trades. He is now happily retired after a long and distinguished career as a teacher of VET electrotechnology. The first edition of his text appeared in 1980 and quickly established itself as the bible in its field, a status which it continues to hold. The text reflects his approach to teaching - patient, thorough and focused on clarity. Bob Harper is a TAFE teacher working at SkillsTech Australia, an institute of Queensland TAFE. He joined the Department of Education in 1983 as an industrially experienced electrician to teach electronics. TAFE applied Bob to whatever class needed teaching at the time and so his experience widened. Bob accumulated several TAFE certificates, a Diploma of Teaching, a Diploma of Freelance Journalism and a Bachelor of Technology (Eng.). He is currently studying for a Bachelor of Science (Psychology). Bob likes teaching and helping people to study; he is currently teaching renewable energy and working in online education and eLearning. Bob Moore is a TAFE teacher working at SkillsTech Australia. He worked as an electrican in domestic, commerical and industrial areas until 1983, when he joined the Department of Education. Bob has a Diploma of Teaching, a Diploma of Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Education. He has written a number of distance education modules and online examinations for electrical contractors and electrical linepersons. He is currently teaching Advanced Diploma of Electrical Engineering subjects at SkillsTech.
