Greater interactivity is a major feature of this new and enhanced version of the acclaimed "Eyewitness Encyclopedia of Nature", with new activities making it possible to experience the natural world from different and exciting perspectives. New animations and videos, and an extra 250,000 words have been added to extend and deepen the coverage of the encyclopedia. There is a quiz, and panoramic scrolling illustrations of the Earth's major habitats - the user can click on an animal or plant to get more information about it, or try to find the hidden mini-habitats. The user is also invited to see the world through the eyes of different animals, identify microscopic creatures, and populate a habitat. Increased cross-referencing, powerful search facilities, and new interface and navigator panels make it even easier to move between topics and access information. Another new feature is a link to "Nature Online" on the World Wide Web, giving access to regularly updated, extra information.
