Electrical Wiring Practice 7E Volume 1incorporates the Australian and New Zealand Wiring Standards, AS/NZS 3000:2007 and 2009 Amendments. Taking a practical approach, the two volumes cover the practices in applying standards, using figures as visual tools for learning and teaching. Although the books are primarily written for students and teachers of electrical trades, this text provides reference material that may be helpful for trade professionals. Electrical Principles for the Electrical Trades 6E Volume 1 has been completely revised and updated to incorporate the relevant competencies of the new Electrotechnology Training Package (UEE07). Building on the 5th edition, this text provides students with the fundamental knowledge needed for a future career in the electrical trades. The text features a clear writing style teamed with concise and informative full-colour illustrations which create an engaging and effective learning tool for Australian students.

Keith Pethebridge has been an author of Electrical Wiring Practice since the first edition. Before retirement, he was Senior Head Teacher in Electrical Trades at the Sydney Technical College, now the Sydney Institute of TAFE. Keith also worked as a consultant for apprentice training nationally. Keith passed away in March 2010. Jim Jenneson has written the last five successful editions of Electrical Principles for the Electrical Trades. He is now happily retired after a long and distinguished career as a teacher of VET electrotechnology. The first edition of his text appeared in 1980 and quickly established itself as the bible in its field, a status which it continues to hold. The text reflects his approach to teaching - patient, thorough and focused on clarity. Ian Neeson is a vocational education and training consultrant specialising in electrotechnology. He was involved in the development of the National Competency Standards for Electrotechnology and continues to provide assistance to the National ElectroComms and Energy Utilities Skills Council(EE-Oz Training Standards) in their program of continuous improvement. Ian also represents the National Skills Council on the Wiring Rules Advisory Panel(EL-001) and Hazardous Areas Competency Standards Committee(P-12). He is a member of an IECEx Certificate of Personal Competence Committee and Working Groups. For the past few years Ian has been a member of the judging team for the National Electrical and Communications Association(NECA)NSW Excellence Awards. Bob Harper is a TAFE teacher working at SkillsTech Australia, an institute of Queensland TAFE. He joined the Department of Education in 1983 as an industrially experienced electrician to teach electronics. TAFE applied Bob to whatever class needed teaching at the time and so his experience widened. Bob accumulated several TAFE certificates, a Diploma of Teaching, a Diploma of Freelance Journalism and a Bachelor of Technology (Eng.). He is currently studying for a Bachelor of Science (Psychology). Bob likes teaching and helping people to study; he is currently teaching renewable energy and working in online education and eLearning.
