Previously an aeronautical engineer with British Aerospace, he has over 20 years' experience in the drilling business beginning as a Trainee Driller with Shell and later holding all drilling positions up to Drilling Manager. He is a Chartered Engineer in the United Kingdom through the Institution of Mining Engineers.
