This book will be of interest to researchers and engineers working on the development and implementation of amorphous chalcogenide materials for a wide range of imaging applications. The first chapter describes the optimal techniques for preparing these materials. In addition, the structural differences between bulk materials and thin films are considered. Two further chapters cover the application of amorphous chalcogenides in xerography. Here, special attention is devoted to photoinduced changes and their potential applications for optical data storage and holographic recording. Finally the authors consider applications in digital radiography, where amorphous Se-based materials currently have no competitors.
