The study of semiconductor heterostructures is a major field in condensed matter physics. Calculations carried out on these systems, both for fundamental research, and for modelling devices and applications, are extremely complex, and often require advanced numerical techniques. This book plus CD package is designed to develop the skills and expertise of the researcher to a level where they can confidently perform calculations of relevance to contemporary problems in the field of semiconductor heterostructures. Applications of numerical methods are included, and the computer source codes which are included on the CD will allow the reader both to gain additional insight into the science, and to become more proficient in using the techniques.
