Today s state-of-the-art Imaging Fourier-transform Spectrometer (IFTS) is capable of massively-parallel spatial sampling. This unprecedented imaging capability was enabled by recent advances in infrared (IR) focal plane arrays, which led to the development of IR photointegrating cameras. However, coupling a continuous-scan interferometer to an externally-triggered integrating camera remains challenging. This book introduces two efficient data processing pipelines designed for this type of IFTS: 1) A new interferogram sampling scheme, which minimizes the dataload and provides sampling jitter correction capabilities; 2) A new spectral calibration method, which accounts for off-axis pixel line shapes and enables software field widening. These pipelines are designed to spare some of the post-processing burden for the end-user by quickly providing analysis-ready spectra. Additionally, a two-laser characterization technique is demonstrated to diagnose instrument behavior and to reveal unexpected instrument contributions. Algorithms were prototyped in Matlab® and experimentally validated using a Telops Inc. near/mid-IR IFTS testbed.
