Nanoelectronics

The rapid evolution in nanotechnology over the last decade is creating opportunities for the fabrication of new and potentially evolutionary electronic devices at the nanometer scale. This text provides a survey of those developments. It examines new transistor concepts and integrated circuit technologies, as well as applications in memory, sensors, displays, optical sources and detectors, and microwave applications. It also explores emerging approaches to fabrication at the nanoscale. Designed for undergraduate electrical engineering students, this text enhances learning through a myriad of practical examples and working problems. It is written to support the National Science Foundation’s Nanotechnology Undergraduate Education Program.
