Fire fighters need to be properly equipped and trained to master the wide array of skills required of them, but even the most skilled fire fighters can get overmatched in hostile, complex environments with little or no visibility. Because knowledge of a burning building's floor plan or fire protection system can be the difference between life and death, a well-crafted pre-incident response plan is critical. Pre-Incident Planning, Third Edition, will teach fire service professionals to create and implement such plans. Based on the NFPA 1620, Recommended Practice for Pre-Incident Planning, this text will provide fire officers with knowledge necessary to manage the most complex emergency situations.
