Jane Lane is an advocate worker for racial equality in the early years. She works to ensure racial equality is embedded in the early years policies, procedures and practices of national and local government and in early years settings. She has commented on and contributed extensively to government documents on the early years for many years. She was formerly an education officer at the Commission for Racial Equality and was involved in setting up the Anti-Racist Teacher Education Network, the Working Group against Racism in Children's Resources and Early Years Equality, where she was the Policy Director.
