Semiotics of Images

The authors of this book have worked for many years within the Greimasian and post-Greimasian tradition. The book presents a unified theoretical semiotic framework for the analysis of cultural pictorial texts. It thus brings together four disparate domains: the study of static images (such as painting, sculpture, and photography), the study of dynamic images (such as cinema), animation studies, and the study of interactive digital games.
