Liam French is an independent academic writer and researcher, following a twenty-year career as a lecturer in media studies and sociology at the University of St Mark and St John, Plymouth, UK. He has co-authored various books and research papers and has had articles published in The International Journal of Sport Communication, Three-D Magazine, Active Learning in Higher Education, Cyborgology and Behind the Spin. His main areas of interest and expertise are media studies, sociology and cultural studies.
