Included in this volume are all five of Gore-Booth's plays; the dramas sometimes draw on the same materials which Yeats, Lady Gregory, Synge, and others used in Ireland's "literary renaissance". The play texts are supplemented by appendices including relevant notes from the 1929 poems, materials from a rare 1916 edited version of a longer play, and a chronology.
