Girolamo Tessuto is Full Professor of English, Linguistics and Translation at the Department of Precision Medicine at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, Italy, where he is Director of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Language and Medicine (CIRLaM). His research interests in applied linguistics include text and (critical) discourse analysis of academic, professional and institutional genres in legal contexts, as well as the language and discourse of healthcare and medicine, including analyses of different Web-mediated genres. He is the author of several publications appearing as research papers, book chapters, and co-edited volumes.Vijay K. Bhatia retired as Professor from the City University of Hong Kong. His research interests include genre analysis of academic and professional discourses in legal, business, promotional, and new media contexts. He is the author of more than 150 publications, including the books Analysing Genre: Language Use in Professional Settings, Worlds of Written Discourse: A Genre-based View, and Critical Genre Analysis. Richard Ashcroft is Professor of Bioethics and Deputy Dean of the Law School at City, University of London. He trained in history and philosophy of science at Cambridge University before going on to hold academic positions at the universities of Liverpool and Bristol, Imperial College London and Queen Mary University of London. He is the author of more than 150 academic publications in bioethics, focusing on the ethics of medical research and ethics in public health.
