Timon Beyes is Professor of Sociology of Organisation and Culture at Leuphana University Lüneburg. He is Director of the Centre for Digital Cultures and the Institute for Sociology and Cultural Organisation. He holds a fractional professorship at the Department of Management, Politics and Philosophy at Copenhagen Business School. Timon Beyes holds a doctorate from the University of St. Gallen and a habilitation from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Management. His research is dedicated to a sociology of organisation understood in terms of cultural theory. His research focuses on media technologies, aesthetics, spaces and the politics of organisation. Wolfgang Hagen studied German and philosophy in Vienna and Berlin. Doctorate in 1977, from 1970 to 1972 in the founding collective of Merve-Verlag Berlin, then until 1975 managing director of a bookshop, 1978 cultural editor at Radio Bremen, 1979 to 1984 editor and presenter of the SFB programme »SFBeat«. From 1984 founding and programme director of »Radio Bremen Vier«. From 2002 to 2012 he was head of the culture department at Deutschlandradio. Habilitation at the University of Basel in 2001, Professor of Media Studies at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg from 2013, Senior Researcher of the DFG Research Group MECS since 2015 and Project Manager of the DFG project »Media of Assistance« since 2018. Claus Pias has been Professor of Media Theory and Media History at Leuphana University Lüneburg since 2010. He studied electrical engineering in Aachen, art history, German studies and philosophy in Bonn and Bochum. From 2006 to 2010 he was Professor of Epistemology and Philosophy of Digital Media at the University of Vienna. Claus Pias is director of the Institute for Advanced Study »Media Cultures of Computer Simulation«, the Centre for Digital Cultures and the Digital Cultures Research Lab (DCRL) at Leuphana University Lüneburg. His research interests are media theology, history of science of media thinking as well as history and epistemology of simulation and cybernetics. Martin Warnke studied mathematics and physics at the Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Hamburg, earned his doctorate in theoretical low-temperature physics, was head of the Computing and Media Centre at Leuphana University Lüneburg, habilitated in 2008 and has been teaching there since 2010 at the Faculty of Cultural Studies in the subject of digital media. He heads the degree programme »Digital Media/Cultural Informatics« and is director of the Institute for Advanced Study »Media Cultures of Computer Simulation«. He conducts research on digital knowledge cultures, digital image media, computer simulations as a theoretical form of quantum mechanics and scoring procedures in the People's Republic of China and in the West. He is chairman of the Springhornhof Art Association.
