Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Cojuangco Aquino III was the 15th President of the Philippines, serving from 2010 to 2016. Born on February 8, 1960, into a prominent political family, he is the only son of democracy icons Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. and former President Corazon Aquino. Although not traditionally recognized as an author in the literary sense, Aquino's contribution to Philippine literature is primarily through his political discourses and public addresses.
