Wood/Hains' COMMUNICATION IN OUR LIVES, 9th Edition, provides everything you need to become a more confident and effective communicator -- both personally and professionally. Renowned teachers Julia T. Wood and Rebecca C. Hains combine the latest research, theory and best practices with hands-on skills development. Extremely student friendly, the text features an engaging, personal tone, while frequent Student Voice sections highlight how past learners have experienced key communication concepts. In addition to its signature focus on social and cultural diversity, equity and inclusion, the ninth edition includes expanded coverage of digital media and health communication. An early introduction to public speaking includes plenty of sample speeches, and the importance of effective communication to today's careers is emphasized. Also available: MindTap digital learning solution.
