Caring in Crisis

Gillian Dalley is an independent researcher for more than a decade and has completed projects for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and Brunel University funded by the Dawes Trust. She is the author of Ideologies of Caring: Rethinking community and collectivism, and has worked for several organisations including the King's Fund, the Policy Studies Institute, Centre for Policy on Ageing, S-E Thames Regional Health Authority and the MRC Medical Sociology Unit in Aberdeen. She is a social anthropologist.
